Welcome
I believe there is more to being human than surviving.
But survival is only part of being human. It is about belonging, remaining curious, making meaning of our experiences, noticing beauty, grieving honestly, embracing joy, and continuing to grow throughout our lives.
My work lives in those spaces.
As a writer, clinician, researcher, and former minister, my work is grounded in the conviction that no single discipline has a monopoly on understanding what it means to be human. I write from the intersections of psychology, research, story, and lived experience because I believe our richest conversations happen there.
Whether I’m writing about trauma, burnout, identity, faith, belonging, or joy, I am ultimately interested in one question: What helps us become more fully human?
I don’t have simple answers, and I’m not sure that’s the point. But I do believe honest questions, thoughtful conversation, and compassionate curiosity can change us. My hope is that the books, research, and resources you’ll find here help you make a little more sense of your own journey—and remind you that you don’t have to walk it alone.
Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
